Recipe leaflets collection
A collection of promotional recipe leaflets from Armour and Company, the Chicago meatpacker, aimed at home cooks and centered on ham, poultry, and other meat cookery, with test-kitchen credit to Marie Gifford. The plates are full-color food photographs: sauced cornbread, scrambled eggs with ham, filled shells, and an omelet, all staged on ceramic dishes over woven mats and floral cloth in a warm orange-brown register useful for retro food styling and mid-century domestic palettes.
