Record of the celebration of the tercentenary of the introduction of the art of printing into Aberdeen by Edward Raban in the year 1622, 16th and 17th June 1922
A commemorative volume issued at Aberdeen in 1922 recording the celebrations for the three hundredth anniversary of Edward Raban's bringing of printing to the city, aimed at local antiquaries, librarians and members of the printing trade. The plates reproduce fragments of Raban's own seventeenth-century work: the Aberdeen city arms cut as a square woodcut block, with leopard supporters, a BON ACCORD ribbon and a lettered base panel, plus a cross-hatched floral tailpiece and close-ups of type on laid paper.
