Record of inscriptions in the cemetery and building of the Unitarian, formerly denominated the Independent Church, Archdale Street, Charleston, S.C., from 1777-1860
A transcription of gravestone and tablet inscriptions from the Unitarian (formerly Independent) Church on Archdale Street in Charleston, compiled by Caroline Howard Gilman and printed locally by Walker, Evans & Co. in 1860 for congregation members and genealogists. The scanned pages are typographic rather than pictorial: ruled rules across the head of cream laid paper, italic running heads, and a centered blackletter section title with a small printer's flourish beneath, useful as models for spare letterpress page furniture and divider pages.
