Records of William M. Hunt
A memoir of the Boston painter William Morris Hunt, written by his physician and friend Henry C. Angell and published by J.R. Osgood in 1881 for American art collectors and admirers shortly after Hunt's death. Its photogravure plates reproduce paintings and charcoal studies in soft sepia: horses plunging through cloud, bare branching trees over water, a crucifixion group massed in shadow.
