A seven-volume antiquarian catalogue of Egyptian, Etruscan, Greek and Roman objects assembled and described by the comte de Caylus, engraved and published in Paris from 1752 for collectors and scholars of antiquity. Line engravings isolate each artifact on blank ground with letter and numeral keys: mummiform statuettes, painted volute kraters, bronze axe heads, rings, portrait heads and small figures in walking poses.
