Recueil d'antiquités égyptiennes, étrusques, greques et romaines
A seven-volume antiquarian catalogue of Egyptian, Etruscan, Greek and Roman objects compiled by the comte de Caylus and issued in Paris from 1752 for collectors and scholars. Etched line plates record herms, statuettes, bronze heads, masks and vessels, often numbered and grouped on a single page, giving clean outline figures and isolated artefacts easy to cut out and recombine.
