Reminiscences of Baptist churches and Baptist leaders in New York city and vicinity
A memoir of Baptist congregations and clergy in and around New York City, written by George H. Hansell and issued in 1899 by the American Baptist Publication Society in Philadelphia for denominational readers. The plates are head-and-shoulders portraits of middle-aged and elderly men in dark coats, stocks and white collars, reproduced as engravings and halftones with soft vignetted edges, useful as stock nineteenth-century faces, whiskers and collar shapes.
