An architectural photographic survey of Spanish Renaissance buildings compiled by American architect Austin Whittlesey and issued in New York in 1920 as a reference portfolio of photographs and measured drawings for practising architects and draughtsmen. The halftone plates show carved stone portals, plateresque facades encrusted with medallions and shell motifs, arcaded courtyards, coffered ceilings and wrought-iron grilles, supplying ornament details, ironwork patterns and column-and-arch elevations that can be traced or reused as decorative borders.
