Report of the Civic Improvement Committee for the City of Toronto, 1911
A municipal planning report issued in 1911 by Toronto's Civic Improvement Committee, prepared for city council and ratepayers as a scheme of street widenings, extensions and diagonal routes. Its plates are blueprint-style line maps of numbered blocks, ravines, rail lines and named avenues, with hand-lettered title panels and hatched right-of-way strips useful as urban grid texture and lettering models.
