... Report on the building and ornamental stones of Canada, vol. I-V
A five-volume government survey of Canadian building and ornamental stone by geologist William Arthur Parks, issued by the Mines Branch in Ottawa from 1912 for quarry operators, architects and builders. Halftone photographs show working quarries, rock faces and derricks, timbered adits and cut stone blocks, plus stone churches and civic buildings, giving designers coarse-grained industrial landscapes and masonry textures.
