Report on the building and ornamental stones of Canada
A government survey of Canadian building and ornamental stone, compiled by geologist William A. Parks for the Mines Branch of the Department of Mines and issued at Ottawa in 1912 for quarry operators, architects, and builders. The halftone plates show working quarry faces, jointed and bedded rock, derricks and guy wires, cut blocks stacked on the ground, and finished masonry buildings — useful for stone textures, cliff and ledge silhouettes, and industrial rigging shapes.
