The Repository of arts, literature, commerce, manufactures, fashions and politics
Rudolph Ackermann's monthly London magazine of art, fashion, commerce and politics, begun in 1809 and sold to well-off British readers with hand-coloured plates bound in. Plates show single Regency figures in high-waisted gowns, shawls and bonnets against blank grounds, alongside aquatint views of London buildings and street corners, plus decorative and furniture designs useful for period costume and architectural reference.
