A monthly London magazine of art, fashion, manufactures and politics published by Rudolph Ackermann from 1809 for well-off British readers and the furnishing and textile trades. Hand-coloured aquatint plates show window drapery schemes, swagged curtains with tassels and gilt poles, and glimpsed garden views, alongside monochrome engravings of printed-cotton and lace borders usable as repeating ornament.
