A kindergarten teacher-training manual by Kate Douglas Wiggin and Nora Archibald Smith, issued in Boston by Houghton Mifflin in 1895 for teachers and parents following Froebel's methods. The plates include a blue geometric medallion built from arcs and bars in the Froebel drawing tradition, the Riverside Press woodcut device with its motto scroll and seated figure, a stamped cloth cover, and a rubber-stamped library date block usable as type and ornament reference.
