Restaurant Rijks-Museum Amsterdam
A 1908 Amsterdam booklet issued by John Wesselink for the restaurant at the Rijksmuseum, pairing visitor information with reproductions from the museum's collection for tourists and diners. The plates are coarse-screen halftones of Dutch Golden Age genre paintings — tavern interiors, candlelit night scenes, schoolrooms and domestic corners — usable for grainy monochrome texture, heavy chiaroscuro backgrounds and crowded figure groupings.
