Revised edition of Textile design book. A practical composition for the construction of new designs
A weaving manual by Emil Jansen, published at Paterson, New Jersey, in 1898 for mill designers and loom operators working in the silk trade. The plates are black-and-white point-paper grids, each square a thread intersection, building diamonds, checks, stars and scattered spot repeats that can be read as ready-made halftone textures, pixel patterns or tiling motifs.
