Richardson's crocheted edgings and insertions
A 1916 pattern pamphlet issued by the Richardson Silk Company of Chicago to sell its crochet thread to home needleworkers. Thirty-five photographs show finished lace edgings and insertions laid flat on black grounds, giving high-contrast white openwork silhouettes: scalloped points, fans, picot loops and repeating bands usable as borders, rules and pattern tiles.
