Robert Fulton and the submarine
A 1922 study by engineer William Barclay Parsons, published by Columbia University Press, reconstructing Robert Fulton's submarine and torpedo work from his own drawings, written for engineers and naval historians. The plates are halftone reproductions of early nineteenth-century pen drawings: hull sections, valve and screw details, plan and elevation views with letter keys and handwritten captions.
