La Fin des Livres Contes pour les Bibliophiles Uzanne Constant et Robida Albert
A collection of short stories about books and collectors written by Octave Uzanne and illustrated by Albert Robida, published in Paris in 1893–94 for bibliophiles, and containing "La Fin des Livres," a tale forecasting talking machines replacing print. The nine plates mix loose pen-and-crayon vignettes with dense hatching, an etched view of gabled houses over a canal with quayside bookstalls, and deliberate imitations of early woodcuts framed by sun, moon and grotesque faces — useful for period pastiche borders, crowd silhouettes, and book-trade street scenes.
