Robinson’s money-saving mill-made cut-to-fit houses
A 1914 trade catalogue from C.H. Robinson of Providence, Rhode Island, selling mill-cut, ready-to-assemble frame houses to small builders and first-time homeowners. The plates are coarse halftone perspective views of modest cottages and gambrel-roofed bungalows with railed porches, clapboard and shingle walls, stone foundations and sketched shrubbery, useful as period house silhouettes and grainy vernacular architecture stock.
