The rocket book
A die-cut novelty picture book written and illustrated by Peter Newell for Harper & Brothers, New York, 1912, in which a rocket launched in the basement punches up through every floor of an apartment house, a hole pierced through the stack of pages. Each full-page plate, tinted in a single dominant color, shows one household mid-disruption: spilled soup, flying bedding, startled faces, a goldfish bowl, a pot plant erupting.
