The rock tombs of El Amarna
An archaeological survey volume by Norman de Garis Davies recording the rock-cut tombs of Tell el-Amarna, published in London and Boston for the Egypt Exploration Fund from 1903 as part of its Archaeological Survey of Egypt, aimed at Egyptologists and subscribing members. The plates are outline line drawings of wall reliefs, showing registers of bowing courtiers, offering tables, chariots, colonnaded buildings and hieroglyphic panels, with blank areas marking lost stone, giving designers clean contour figures and repeating horizontal friezes.
