An account of the Accademia del Disegno's 1710 exhibition on the Capitoline in Rome, compiled by the academy's secretary Giuseppe Ghezzi under its principe Carlo Maratti and printed by Gaetano Zenobi for artists, patrons and clergy. The plates are letterpress ornaments: acanthus headpieces and tailpieces, winged cherub masks, tulip and carnation swags hung from tasselled cords, and initials built from curling foliage, all cut in coarse black line suited to enlargement as rules, spot devices or drop caps.
