Roodscreens and roodlofts
A two-part antiquarian survey of English medieval rood screens and lofts, compiled by Frederick Bligh Bond and Bede Camm and published by Pitman in London in 1909 for church architects, restorers and parish antiquaries. Halftone photographs record carved oak tracery, pierced cresting, ribbed coving and painted saint panels, alongside measured drawings of mouldings and plans, giving designers Gothic repeat patterns, arcade profiles and worn painted figures.
