Rookwood, an American art.
A trade catalogue issued by the Rookwood Pottery of Cincinnati in 1904, showing its art wares to dealers and collectors. Halftone plates group numbered vases, pitchers, teapots and squat bowls against blank grounds, their painted decoration of irises, poppies, grapes, pine boughs, fish and blossoming branches rendered in soft grey tonal gradients that suit silhouette tracing, vessel-shape libraries and floral motif extraction.
