The Rosicrucians, their rites and mysteries

Jennings, Hargrave, 1817?-1890 · 1921 · London, G. Routledge & sons, limited: New York, E.P. Dutton & co · 102 pictures

Hargrave Jennings's survey of Rosicrucian rites and symbolism, first issued in the 1870s and reprinted by Routledge in London and Dutton in New York in 1921 for occult readers and antiquarians. The line cuts are small pen diagrams — obelisks, round towers, carved arch heads, zigzag and chevron mouldings, geometric and phallic sign groups — numbered as figures, usable as compact emblems, ornament strips and diagram marks.
