Roteiro de Lisboa a Goa, annotado por João de Andrade Corvo
A Portuguese scholarly edition of João de Castro's sixteenth-century rutter for the Lisbon–Goa run, annotated by João de Andrade Corvo and issued in Lisbon by the Academia Real das Sciencias in 1882 for historians of navigation and terrestrial magnetism. The plates reproduce the pilot's pen-and-ink coastal charts: stippled headlands, hatched water, handwritten depth numerals and place names, walled towns in silhouette, and small square-rigged ships, all usable as loose nautical line texture, map fragments, or period lettering.
