Répertoire de couleurs pour aider à la détermination des couleurs des fleurs, des feuillages et des fruits
A two-volume colour reference issued by the Société française des chrysanthémistes in 1905, compiled by René Oberthür and Henri Dauthenay and printed in Rennes for horticulturists, nurserymen and botanists needing a fixed vocabulary for naming flower, leaf and fruit colours. The plates are tall printed swatches in graded tones — ochres, yellows, tans, rusts — each a flat field with visible paper grain, usable as a period palette or as ready-made colour-chip blocks.
