Rug patterns.
A trade catalogue of hooked rug patterns issued by E. Ross & Co. of Toledo, Ohio, in 1889, printed for rug makers and dealers ordering stamped burlap designs. The plates are flat color-block prints in orange, green and black: rose and leaf sprays inside cartouches, corner bouquets, Greek-key and scroll borders, all usable as ready-made frames and repeat motifs.
