An 1883 antiquarian account of Yorkshire's monastic ruins by William Lefroy, published in London by Seeley, Jackson, and Halliday for Victorian readers of church history and travel. The 48 pen-and-ink plates show Gothic arcades, roofless naves, towers and doorways overgrown with ivy and framed by trees, offering hatched line textures, arch tracery and architectural silhouettes for reuse.
