Andrea Pozzo's perspective treatise, issued in London in 1707 in parallel English and Latin, translated by John James and engraved by John Sturt for working painters and architects. Plates run from ruled construction diagrams with lettered points and module scales to plans and sections of altars, domes and stage machinery, plus small engraved vignettes of buildings and trees framing historiated initials.
