A pattern book of house designs by London architect John B. Papworth, published by Rudolph Ackermann in 1818 for landowners and builders commissioning cottages, lodges and small villas. Hand-coloured aquatint views pair each house with its engraved ground plan: pale washed stucco and brick elevations set in lawns and massed trees, with labelled rooms, gravel paths and flower borders.
