Ruskin: Rossetti: preraphaelitism; papers 1854 to 1862
A documentary collection of letters and papers on Ruskin, Rossetti and the Pre-Raphaelite circle, edited by William Michael Rossetti and published by George Allen in London in 1899 for art students, critics and collectors. The plates are halftone reproductions of Rossetti paintings and drawings — figures in heavy drapery, medieval interiors, dense flower beds — with soft gray tonal range useful for atmospheric backgrounds and drapery studies.
