Bulletin des sciences mathématiques
A French review journal of mathematical and astronomical literature, published by Gauthier-Villars in Paris from 1870 under the Ministère de l'éducation nationale for working mathematicians and academic libraries. The plate here is letterpress mathematics rather than imagery: stacked fractions, tall parenthesis pairs and a large product sign with indices above and below, useful as specimen material for typographic texture, technical ornament, or grid-based layout built from notation.
