A 1700 London edition of Joseph Glanvill's defence of the reality of witches and apparitions, with contributions by Henry More and Anthony Horneck, printed for a general reading public in the debate over spirits and the invisible world. The eight small woodcuts are text-block geometry rather than scenes: dotted circles lettered A–E, a hatched cube, and an irregular stippled lump, all cut with coarse parallel shading that a designer can lift as raw diagrammatic marks or textured spot ornaments.
