A 1902 trade catalogue from the Sanitary Manufacturing Company of Philadelphia, issued to furniture dealers and retail buyers of its Brusselette art rugs and upholstery goods. Forty-eight color plates show whole rugs head-on, each a rectangle or square of dense floral and scroll pattern with medallion centers, wide contrasting borders and fringed ends, useful as ready-made repeating fields, border strips and period color pairings of rust, olive and black.
