A museum catalogue of pre-New Kingdom coffins in the Cairo Egyptian Museum, compiled by Pierre Lacau for the Service des Antiquités and printed in 1903 by the Institut français d'archéologie orientale for Egyptologists and curators. The illustrations shown are plain pen diagrams of wooden joinery — dovetails, tenons, cramps and dowelled corners — drawn in cutaway axonometric with hatched grain and dashed hidden lines, useful as technical woodworking figures or as texture studies in ruled hatching.
