The Savoy
The Savoy was a short-lived London literary and art quarterly edited by Arthur Symons with Aubrey Beardsley as art editor, published by Leonard Smithers in 1896 for readers of avant-garde poetry, fiction and criticism. Beardsley's pen-and-ink plates give solid black masses, stippled brocade, rococo costume and grotesque putti, alongside softer tonal lithographs; useful for ornament, figure silhouettes and title-page lettering.
