Oskar Schlemmer et Al. - Die Bühne am Bauhaus
The fourth Bauhaus book, Die Bühne am Bauhaus (1925), in which Oskar Schlemmer, László Moholy-Nagy and Farkas Molnár set out theories of stage design, mechanised performance and the figure in space for artists, architects and theatre people. Plates mix halftone photographs of costumed figures and stage models with hard-edged diagrams: geometric puppet-bodies built from cones and cylinders, plan and section drawings of theatre buildings, and black grounds cut by flat white rectangles — useful for stage schematics, abstract figure construction and stark tonal layout.
