Schule und Museum
An art-instruction volume produced by Karl Reichhold with Munich's Realgymnasium and published there in 1910, linking classroom drawing lessons to museum collections for secondary-school pupils and their teachers. The plates are pen and pencil studies of architectural detail — Romanesque column capitals with interlaced knotwork and acanthus, carved human heads on corbels, dentil cornices seen in raking perspective — giving designers hatched line ornament and modular capital forms drawn at usable scale.
