Schwäbische Glasmalerei
Leo Balet's 1912 survey of Swabian stained glass, issued in Stuttgart by the Deutsche Verlags-Anstalt for art historians, collectors and craftsmen working in glass. The plates are photographs of armorial roundels and rectangular panels dated from the fifteenth to the seventeenth century, giving designers quartered shields with crests and mantling, acanthus scrollwork, banded circular borders, German blackletter inscription cartouches, standing saints and donors in side panels, and small hunting and landscape scenes in the corners.
