Schwäbische Skulptur der Spätgotik
A German art-historical survey of late Gothic sculpture in Swabia, written by Karl Gröber and published in Munich by Riehn & Reusch in 1922 for scholars and collectors. The 106 halftone plates photograph carved wood and stone altar groups and standing figures against plain grey walls, giving deep-cut drapery folds, grieving faces and infant angels in strong raking light.
