The science-history of the universe
A ten-volume popular science encyclopedia edited by Francis Rolt-Wheeler, published in New York by Current Literature Publishing in 1909 for general adult readers and self-educators. The plates are wood-engraved and halftone diagrams of laboratory apparatus, keyed with letters and figure numbers, drawn in fine parallel hatching against tiled floors and plain grounds; useful for instrument silhouettes, cutaway vessels and numbered diagram labels.
