Scientific American, Vol. 59, No. 26 (December 1888)
An issue of the weekly technical magazine Scientific American, published by Munn & Co. in New York in December 1888 for engineers, inventors, patent-seekers and general readers. The wood engravings show machines and apparatus in three-quarter perspective on hatched ground shading, numbered and keyed to inset details and sections, with the signature "Sci. Am. N.Y." cut into the plate: useful for isolated mechanical objects and engraved hatching textures.
