Scientific American, Vol. 67, No. 13 (September 1892)
An issue of the weekly illustrated science and technology magazine published by Munn & Co. in New York in September 1892 for inventors, engineers, and general readers following patents and new machinery. The plates combine fine wood-engraved machine portraits with sectional cutaways showing gears, springs, ratchets and clock trains, alongside coarse, high-contrast advertising cuts of engines and typewriters usable as stamp-like silhouettes.
