Scientific American, Vol. 83, No. 16 (October 1900)
An issue of the weekly American technical magazine Scientific American, published in New York in October 1900 for engineers, inventors, patent seekers and general readers of new machinery. The plates are small wood-engraved and halftone cuts of engines, dynamos, typewriters and optical benches, isolated on white with stippled shading and advertising type set around them, useful for mechanical spot illustration, period ad layouts and cutaway machine detail.
