Scientific American, Vol. 89, No. 7 (August 1903)
A single August 1903 issue of Scientific American, the New York weekly published by Munn & Co. for engineers, inventors, patent-seekers and general technical readers. The plates are coarse newsprint halftones and line blocks: side-elevation views of early motorcycles and motor quadricycles, spoked wheels, and machine assemblies of gears, shafts and flywheels shot against plain grounds, useful for silhouette work, heavy-dot grain texture and period vehicle profiles.
