The Scientific American reference book; a compendium of useful information for inventors and mechanics, containing the complete patent laws of the United States ... forms for patents, caveats, assignments, licenses, and shop rights ... etc., etc
A reference handbook published by Munn & Co. in New York in 1876, collecting United States patent law, forms for caveats and assignments, and technical tables for American inventors, patent agents, and working mechanics. The wood-engraved cuts show bench apparatus, magnets and coils, governors, gearing and anvils, built from dense parallel hatching with heavy cast shadows, and they supply small isolated machine motifs, spot illustrations, and a decorative initial in the same engraved line.
