Scottish armorial seals
A catalogue of Scottish armorial seals compiled by William Rae Macdonald and published in Edinburgh by W. Green in 1904, made for heraldists, antiquaries and record scholars. The plates are photographs of wax seal impressions still attached to parchment tags, showing shields, helms, crests and lions inside circular Latin legends, useful for heraldic device shapes, worn-edge textures and sepia monochrome relief.
