Sculture del palazzo della Villa Borghese detta Pinciana
A two-volume catalogue of the antique sculpture in the Villa Borghese, engraved by Tommaso Piroli with texts by Luigi Lamberti and Ennio Quirino Visconti, published in Rome in 1796 for antiquarians, collectors and artists on the Grand Tour circuit. The plates are outline engravings without shading: portrait busts on turned pedestals, draped shoulders, statues and reliefs reduced to clean contour, useful as line art, silhouette stock, or models for drapery and profile drawing.
